Bug Description
Binary package hint: ekiga
I have tried to connect to a SIP account (specifically voipcheap) in Ekiga 3.2.6 on Ubuntu 10.04 and got the following error:
Could not register (Transport error)
I did the following:
- Edit / Accounts
- Accounts / Add a SIP account
Name: VoipCheap
Registar: sip.voipcheap.com
User: (username from voipcheap)
Authentication user: (username from voipcheap)
Password: (password from voipcheap)
Timeout: 3600 (left default)
- Edit / Preferences
- Protocols / SIP Settings
Outbound proxy: sip.voipcheap.com
Forward URI: sip: (left default)
Send DTMF as: INFO (tried also with RFC2833 but didn't work)
ProblemType: Bug
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04
