Bug Description
Binary package hint: totem
At least from Ubuntu 8.04, streams from http://
I recently upgraded my karmic (64-bit) to lucid, and noticed that I could no longer view streams from nrk.no. All updates are installed at the time of the bug-report.
Steps to reproduce:
1) Go to: http://
2) Stream fails to start
Expected result:
The stream should play as it did in earlier versions.
Additional info:
When using MediaPlayerConn
1) mms://straumod.
2) http://
The first one is the "default" one, and results in the following error in Totem player: "Could not read from resource."
The second one plays fine, although the url in the playlist (from "Copy Location") shows "mmsh://..." instead of "http://...".
Hi, I'm using Ubuntu 8.04 and I am not able to play the failing stream either. Repeating your "Steps to reproduce" with 8.04 gave the same problem as you report having with Lucid Beta. The "http://..." stream under "Additional info:" did work for Ubuntu 8.04.
Could there have been a win32codec version in Karmic that no longer is present after the upgrade to Lucid Beta?
