python-chaco package completely broken

Bug Description

Warning (from warnings module):
  File "/home/zhang/EPD6/lib/python2.6/site-packages/enthought/kiva/fonttools/font_manager.py", line 1064
    warnings.warn('Could not match %s, %s, %s. Returning %s' % (name, style, variant, self.defaultFont))
UserWarning: Could not match sans-serif, normal, normal. Returning /usr/share/fonts/truetype/thai/Purisa-BoldOblique.ttf

MY SYSTEM IS 10.4.but when i run the program ,it shows the above information too.

I confirm this problem in ubuntu 9.10.
This has been resolved in python-chaco for ubuntu 10.04

 Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, I am closing it because the bug has been fixed in the latest development version of Ubuntu - Maverick Meerkat. It won't be fixed in previous versions of Ubuntu because the package doesn't fit the requirements for backporting. See https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UbuntuBackports for more information.

The suggestion would be to upgrade your installation to Ubuntu 10.04. Thanks again for understanding.
