NVIDIA DRIVER INSTALL ERROR: update-alternatives crashed with SIGSEGV in Perl_cx_dup()

Hi,

I'm running Ubuntu 10.04 beta 2. While the installations of the NVIDIA proprietary driver (version current) I got the following error message: Sorry, the installatin of the driver faied. Please have a look at the log file for details: /var/log/jockey.log. Please find attached the screen shot and the jockey.log. After that I got the another error message: program "update-alternatives" closed unexpectedly. I am not sure if the both bugs are connected with each other.
