Thunderbird fails to terminate/restart

Bug Description

Binary package hint: thunderbird

Have just installed add-on Enigmail for decrypting keys for Launchpad. Using Ubuntu Lucid Beta 2. I have Thunderbird 3.0.4 installed on my system. All I needed to do was restart Thunderbird.
This failed to happen when I clicked on the 'Restart Thunderbird' button in addons manager. File > Quit does not work either. Clicking on the X only worked once, otherwise it just sat there. Right clicking on the button in the panel applet worked. However, using the applet and when the X button worked appeared to not fully close the app, because when I restarted Thunderbird from the Applications menu, I went to the addons manager and it still had the restart notification; Enigmail was still under 'Installation'.

Hello AJ,
Thank you for submitting this bug and reporting a problem with Thunderbird.

You made this bug report in 2010 and there have been several versions of Ubuntu and Thunderbird since then.

Could you confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can close the ticket?
Or, if it is still a problem, could you run the following (only once):
apport-collect 559799

and upload the updated logs and and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.
