Bug Description

Binary package hint: software-center

The licence and package version in the "More Info" area of the Software Centre wrap despite there being sufficient space.

Highlighting the two boxes shows that this is because they appear to be hardcoded to each be 50% width. Ideally the text boxes should be allowed to use Gtk's automatic expansion to allow both to fit without wrapping except on very narrow window sizes.

Additionally, the text should probably be set for bottom alignment, rather than middle alignment, so that when a wrap does occur the result still looks reasonable.

Omer, this issue does still occur when a package has a sufficiently long package name (for instance linux-backports-modules-wireless-2.6.32-21-preempt).

Hi Paul! Thanks for your bug report. Due to a transition from webkit to gtk based views, the bug you describe is no longer present in the latest development version of software-center. Please continue to report any bugs you may find in software-center. Thanks again for your help!
