Binary package hint: eekboek

There is a new (well tested) Eekboek version. Now useable as GUI and CLI. Please update to version 2.0 if possible.

It's already in Debian unstable: http://packages.qa.debian.org/e/eekboek.html

An alternative would be a backport.

Could you please attach the information specified in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/FreezeExceptionProcess ? Could you also explain what types of tests have been done (attach logs, screenshots, etc).

The new version adds a simple GUI and has dependencies on libwx-perl. libwx-perl is in Ubuntu. I expect no impact for the rest of the distribution.

There are nice new features like a simple GUI and a nice and easy setup for a new administration (for both CLI and GUI). Ubuntu LTS would look "old" for the Eekboek users when it would ship Eekboek 1.4.

Eekboek has been developed on Fedora and is well-tested on Debian stable and testing. It has been developped and tested as eekboek 1.5, what was in Debian experimental. You can find some screenshots here: http://www.eekboek.nl/scrshots/index.html

I'm adding a diff of the CHANGES file. It is in Dutch, but with many English terms.
I'ts a diff from version 1.04.04 to version 2.00.01. In Debian unstable is version 2.00.00. The changes in 2.00.01 are not important for Linux users, only for Mac and Windows.
