Can you attach /cdrom/.disk/info from within the live CD to this bug report?

Thanks!

I have, exactly , the same problem. I can't install the kubuntu 10.04 x64 final version.

I face exactly same issue as above. When I try to install Ubuntu 10.04 on hard disk while ubuntu is active as live CD session (that's unetbootin install on physical hard drive mapped to /cdrom ), the installation ends with the same error as in above post. So I can't see changes after system reboot.

I don't have the option of burning the iso file on cd and installing as my CD drive is not functioning.
I know little bit of shell programming and not scared of generic terminal commands but I am ubuntu noob.

Any help/pointers would be genuinely appreciated

Regards
Partho

Well, Partho I solved the problem installing the Ubuntu 10.04 for ubuntu alternative CD, that have a text interface from install. You can try.
