Multiple authors showing up as author unknown

When I look at a book with more than one author, for example:

"Malta. Kunst und Kultur" by Linda OBryan, Hans Zaglitsch
http://upstream.openlibrary.org/books/OL12865431M/Malta._Kunst_und_Kultur.

I can't find the book on the authorpage:

Linda OBryan: Books by this Author 0 books
http://upstream.openlibrary.org/authors/OL4092569A/Linda_OBryan

Hans Zaglitsch: Books by this Author 0 books
http://upstream.openlibrary.org/authors/OL4092570A/Hans_Zaglitsch

That is because that edition doesn't belong to any work.

Edward, do you know why this edition is not attached to any work?

Should every edition be attached to a work? There are thousands of books that are not attached:

Attached or not attached seems to be connected with the no. of authors.

All the editions above listed have no author.

Hello ... anybody online? Why is it so hard to resolve this bug? Adding the missing work pages would have avoided a lot of new duplicates, that have come in the last 10 months. Greetings, Patrick
