Bug Description

Please sync get-iplayer 2.76-1 (universe) from Debian unstable (main)

Changelog entries since current lucid version 2.66-1:

get-iplayer (2.76-1) unstable; urgency=low

  * New upstream release
  * debian/source/format: explicitly declare format 1.0

get-iplayer (2.68-1) unstable; urgency=medium

  * New upstream release fixes total breakage

 -- Jonathan Wiltshire <email address hidden> Tue, 23 Feb 2010 08:13:21 +0000

This is the last offical upstream release by the orignal author. We are confident that it will recieve suitable community support to maintain it. Due to the massive changes in the code base, and how complex it is - it makes really good sense to have the same version as Debian (which i believe this version will eventually hit testing, and probably release). It's been out in the wild for quite a while, and seems to be the most stable release.

Hi Dave,

Thanks for taking care of that. As we are past Feature Freeze, could you please follow the FFe process described at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/FreezeExceptionProcess ?
Basically, you need to explain why this version is the ONE to have in Ubuntu, attach the build log and describe the tests you did.

Unsubscribing Sponsors for the moment. Please subscribe Sponsors again as soon as you get an ack from the release team.

Thanks,
Fabrice
