Bug Description

See here:

Click on "Hermione Grainger".

Theoretically, this should open up the following subject page with that one book listed, but instead we see the "there are no books about Hermione Grainger" message

Wondering if Anand could take a look at this. It's one of those 'it will seem like the site doesn't work at all' bugs.

It looks like we are only considering the subjects from the MARC sources and ignoring the subjects entered by humans.

Edward, it is so?

I've noticed it seems to eventually recognize some of the subject tags.

For example, I entered a large amount of tags on this work: http://openlibrary.org/works/OL516808W/

the person tags (like this one - http://openlibrary.org/subjects/person:drizzt_do%27urden) remain empty.

however the place tags (like this one - http://openlibrary.org/subjects/place:icewind_dale) and the subject tags (like this one - http://openlibrary.org/subjects/drow) recognize the entry... however it took a few days before this happened.

It also doesn't seem to matter if the subject contains other books in it already.

For example, this work - http://openlibrary.org/works/OL3457508W/

should be listed in this subject - http://openlibrary.org/subjects/person:anthony_burgess_%281917-1993%29

Thanks, Jake - yes, it seems like it's isolated to People subjects for some reason.

The bug is on Edward's list - he'll get to it when he can.

Thanks again for helping to test this!

Also, I've added a person subject - "Testy Testerson" - to the Harry Potter book. Hasn't made a subject page yet, 5 minutes.

The book's there now. Just takes a bit too long to show up, but that's another issue.
