time-admin silently fails to change time zones

Bug Description

If I use System > Administration > Time and Date to change my time zone and click Close, nothing changes, nor is there even any indication that it failed.

Thanks for your bug. What version of Ubuntu do you use? If you use edgy that's a known issue, the backend code runs with the standard user which doesn't have the right to apply such changes, that's being worked

that should be fixed on edgy with the new version of the package, closing the bug. Feel free to reopen if you still get the issue
