I installed Arora in Xubuntu 9.10. I then went into Applications -> Settings -> Preferred Applications and added Arora as the web browser. After selecting it under "other ...", it does appear in the list of preferred browsers.

Opening system>preferences>prefered apps. in gnome it does not show in list and after adding it to "Other" it still doesnt show in the list. I'm not real sure what you are looking at that you see it in refered apps.

Users should not have to add it under "other". I can not back this up but i would say a lot of new users do not know how to add it under "other"

 Changed the "Title" of bug to remove Xubuntu since it does not only happen in XFCE.
