Binary package hint: virtualbox-ose

VirtualBox can't enable the AMD-V extension. Please disable the KVM kernel extension, recompile your kernel and reboot (VERR_SVM_IN_USE)

Fehlercode: NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005)

nach dem update von virtualbox auf version 3.1.6 kann ich auf einmal keine 64-bit betriebssysteme mehr installieren und starten.

ich habe ein ASRock ALiveSATA2-GLAN mit AMD Athlon64
host ist Ubuntu Karmic

I have the same problem after upgrading from Lucid to Lucid Lynx 10 LTS. It looks like Virtualbox was upgraded as well. The previous version was 3.08, now I have 3.1.6 OSE.

Same issue on a clean install of Lynx 10 LTS, and vbox 3.1.6. Taking a look at my bios as well as the workaround mentioned here -> http://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/5639

Hi, i solve this problem erasing other virtual machines. i had installed qemu, and remove that the problem resolved.
