Bug Description
I've tried ubuntu 10.04 lucid beta 1 on my EeePC 1000H. I noticed that sometimes on-screen-displays are present, and sometimes they are missing. For example the on-screen-display is present, when I change the sound volume. But when I use the "FN+F8" key to enable an external monitor, there is no on-screen-display showing me the selected mode. As it seems to me, lucid supports four modes for external monitors: 1) disable the external monitor, only use netbook display 2) extend the netbook's display on the external monitor 3) clone the netbook's display on the external monitor 4) disable the netbook's monitor, only use the external monitor
So it would be nice, if there is an on-screen-display so that I can see what mode I selected without waiting for the result.
