pdf document not properly shown (black stripes in all pages)

I opened a file with Document Viewer 2.28.1 (Ubuntu 9.10) and I saw that the file was not properly shown. It had two wide black strips on page header and page footer and several little black blocks on the border lines of a table.
The file doesn't have the problem when opened with Acrobat Reader: so I can say that the document is ok.

Got the same issue on Ubuntu Natty. Instead of only black bars mine are colorful. Sometimes it is impossible to read the text due to this problem. Included is one of the PDF files.
All files produced by my teacher have these bars.

And the bars change color/move around when you rescale the window/go to fullscreen.

Just noticed that while opening a file with no Evince open that the first visible slide is displayed correctly. All other slides are incorrect. This also is the case if the first visible slide is not the first slide (evince remembering where you where)

Forgot about this bug, but I did check it again and it seems to be fixed.
