This happens to me each time I boot. It doesn't seem to actually harm the functionality of the HPLIP toolbox, but it does get rid of the icon in the systray. I normally have mine set to not show there anyway, so it doesn't really bother me, but I know some people like the ease of use that comes with having it there. It seems that if the systray icon is set to "always show" in HPLIP's preferences it stays in the systray. I'll reboot with it like that and see if this bug happens again.

After enabling the icon and rebooting bug 556678 happens. So far either way the respective bug happens every time at boot.

Happened to me on startup - I had just removed fglrx and restarted. Desktop seemed unusually slow coming up - there was one bash terminal for about 10 seconds before the desktop appeared.

Same to me ... every time I boot up the system.

Apport reports bug report on startup but of course it could have happened at shutdown and is only being actioned on boot... Just a thought.
