Bug Description
Binary package hint: plymouth
Plymouth is not showing up during boot. I see only blinking cursor on the left side (in low res). Then after a while, Ubuntu logo appears for a moment, then GDM login screen. So, most of loading time - there's a blinking cursor.
However during shutdown, sometimes plymouth boot screen is shown.
Video card is Ati Radeon X1600, using opensource radeon driver.
