Bug Description

I use two keyboard layouts and Ubuntu Studio does not show
an icon for them, so I don't know which one is active.

This is happening to me too, the field is present in the indicator, but the icon is absent. Since i use only one layout, i hid it. Which resulted in the indicator-keyboard being up for autoremoval when using apt.

Considering GNOME is no longer the default DE (switched to Xfce years ago), I question this bug's validity since the version used when initially reported is long-since EOL. Anybody care to chime-in?
