Bug Description

Binary package hint: desktopcouch

I upgraded from 9.10 to 10.04 and I have a log in screen and it does not work anymore. I will explain when I click on my name the screen for the password does not come up. I can still type my password but I have to press enter to get into the computer. There is a screen right after I press enter that comes up and says that something needs to shut down and to press cancel or log out and it comes up all the time now and I have to log out.

Hello,

Thanks for reporting this bug but it appears that it has nothing to do with desktopcouch.
I believe there are some settings in .config that may prevent the session from starting up but you might want to provide more details about what messages you get.

Reassigning to gdm as it looks that the problem is related to login screen.

affects: desktopcouch (Ubuntu) → gdm (Ubuntu)

Thanks for the report, it has been some time without any response or feedback in this bug report and we are wondering if this is still an issue for you with the latest release of Ubuntu the Natty Narwhal, May you please test with that version and comment back if you're still having or not the issue? Please have a look at http://www.ubuntu.com/download to know how to install that version. Thanks in advance and sorry for the late response.
