I have installed the latest daily build of Ubuntu Lucid (Beta 1), and I can not enable the visual effects.
I have Dell Inspiron 1440 laptop with integrated Intel GMA X4500MHD graphics card.

Hi,
strangely when I did a reboot and tried to set the effects on, it worked.
So it happened only ones, on my first boot after a clean installation.

The problem here is that drm is loading before the agpgart-intel driver has been loaded. This is bug #542251; marking as duplicate.
