Bug Description
Binary package hint: indicator-
At least on the Ambiance theme--
The Rhythmbox indicator, when playing, turns a bright white.
The Message indicator, when there is news, turns a bright white.
The Transmission/Sound indicators, on the other hand, are always white.
See attachment for example (in this instance, Rhythmbox is playing).
This seems awfully inconsistent, and has caused me to look there a few times expecting something, when it's just the normal situation. I have a couple suggestions for this:
1) The Transmission icon should be highlighted (that is, a bright white, as it currently stands) when it is actively downloading/
2) The Sound indicator could highlight whenever there is sound playing, though that could wind up very distracting. Maybe if there is no sound for a certain period of time, dim the icon? Or simply when it is muted, perhaps?
Changed in indicator-application (Ubuntu): | |
status: | New → Invalid |
Latest sound indicator turns red when sound is played while muted. This fixes point #2.
