initial empathy account wizard shown repeatedly at launch with only an avahi account

Bug Description

Binary package hint: empathy

Hello,

when only an avahi account is created (and working) the account wizard is shown at every launch of empathy.

When another account (e.g. aim) is created, the wizard the behavior is correct and the wizard is not shown any more at launch.

Thnaks for taking time to report this bug. Can you please try the latest version of empathy from this ppa https://launchpad.net/~telepathy/+archive/ppa and let us know if this is still an issue.

I've upgraded empathy to 2.30.0.1-1+ppa9.10+1

Then:

1) I deleted all accounts but the AVAHI account.

2) Closed empathy.

3) Opened empathy. The wizard isn't shown. Correct behavior ...

... but

1) I have not tested with a fresh installation. How can I delete the whole empathy configuration in my home folder?

2) When I open the account dialog via the menu, the wizard is shown and I can't set the preferences for the existing AVAHI account. Wrong behavior.

Jens, you need to remove ~/.config/Empathy directory and then reboot to get a first time experience.
