Rhythmbox crashes while playing, cannot restarted until reboot

The new version of Rhythmbox 0.12.8 has a new bug. It crashes after some while playing and its not possible to rerun Rhythmbox, I need to reboot to start Rhythmbox again.

Trying to run Rhythmbox from the console nothing happens, via rhythmbox -d Rhythmbox returns the message:

I have Ubuntu 10.04 Beta installed with the latest updates (Gnome 2.30). After installing the last updates Rhythmbox AFAIK was updated to the new version 0.12.8 and since then this reported error occurred 2 times on my machine. Apport has not been generated automatically a crash report, so I made it manually with "ubuntu-bug rhythmbox" file is attached.

This will greatly help us in tracking down your problem.

I made a log file with Backtrace but it didn't created a useful one (all files are in the attached archive). I also made a log with Valgrind and Strace, perhaps these logs are more useful.

Worked fine for me until I installed the "python-coherence" package (and a bunch of python-... dependencies). Now I have this exact issue. I'm running Ubuntu 10.04 and Rhythmbox 0.12.8.

The bug is still present in version 0.13.1 on Ubuntu 10.04. But in my case the bug is a little bit more extreme because I'm not able to start rhythmbox at all, it just constantly crashes with the following debug-output.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. When you test it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running apport-collect <bug #> and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.
