Thanks for your bug report and helping to make Ubuntu better. It would be nice if you could test this with the most recent version of empathy, from Lucid. Go to https:/ /edge.launchpad .net/~telepathy /+archive/ ppa and add the PPA to your sources and install the updated packages to see if it's fixed.
