Bug Description
Binary package hint: software-center
While adding/removing packages (the "In progress" queue) it appears to have frozen on "Applying changes..." for an item (specifically at 90%). It was a removal I requested - not an installation, and it was something I had added - not something built in. Now, the program itself is not actually frozen (I can still navigate, etc.), but it has not made any progress in over 20 minutes, so I am considering it "stuck".
Further details:
Ubuntu 10.04 beta 1 (32 bit)
running off USB stick made with the CD image + USB maker thing
I can gather more info or perform further tests if necessary.
ProblemType: Bug
Architecture: i386
Date: Thu Apr 1 18:18:40 2010
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04
LiveMediaBuild: Ubuntu 10.04 "Lucid Lynx" - Beta i386 (20100318)
Package: software-center 1.1.17
PackageArchitec
ProcEnviron:
LANG=en_US.utf8
SHELL=/bin/bash
ProcVersionSign
SourcePackage: software-center
Uname: Linux 2.6.32-16-generic i686
Update: After forcefully terminating the software centre and starting fresh, it would appear as though the package was actually removed after all. Perhaps this then has something to do with the frontend, and not the actual "working parts"?
