Bug Description

bzr-fastimport tries to import the bzr-bundled copy of configobj, which is no longer bundled; instead, it should just import configobj directly. Trivial patch attached.

configobj is only no longer included on Debian and Ubuntu. We should
still attempt to use configobj from bzrlib.configobj but then fall back
to the system configobj.

Thanks for the patch. Jelmer fixed this in rev 273 back in February but Lucid has rev 261.

Jelmer, Any chance of getting a later bzr-fastimport into Lucid?

There are new features which mean it would require a freeze exception.

We can easily get just this change in, or you could pull in other
bugfixes as well if you know of some that should be there.

Thanks,

James

There are quite a number of bug fixes between rev 261 and rev 275, the
0.9 release. These include:

* rev 262: a packaging fix for the exporters
* rev 270 - fix broken Monotone support

John Arbash Meinel also greatly reduced the memory requirements in rev
264 and improved bzrlib usage in rev 267. These have made fastimport
more reliable.

Given John's fixes in particular, my preference is for 0.9 to be
included in Lucid. What's required to get a freeze exception?

Uhm, huh; I actually thought I was running trunk, but apparently the trunk branch changed and I didn't notice. Sorry for any confusion caused, although it seems like it may have been a good thing to draw attention to this.
