quickshot is not capturing the complete screen for 03-ubuntu-start-firefox

While attempting to capture a translated screenshot for 03-ubuntu-start-firefox, quickshot only captures the upperleft corner of firefox and the desktop. I believe that screenshot is supposed to be the complete firefox window displaying the Ubuntu 10.04 homepage.

You are correct about what the screenshot is supposed to contain.

Are you using the LiveCD version of Quickshot?

Also, just to confirm that I'm not blind (given the menu headers), you are working in an English environment, correct?

I'll attempt to reproduce the bug as soon as I know what the conditions were. (I suspect, though, that it is a Wnck glitch, like the other bug you reported. In testing, we had a near-perfect success rate with that library and the calls we were making, but there were a tiny number of cases in which it would provide wildly wrong co-ordinate values, working just fine after clicking 'Recapture' and continuing)

I'm using Ubuntu 10.04 on a guest OS via VirtualBox in an English environment. I guess this bug was just a glitch, initially I was able to reproduce this bug several times over, but more recently I was able to obtain a successful screenshot.

I'm sorry I couldn't give you a more satisfying explanation for why it was failing.

But it's been recorded, so we'll get on it as soon as we branch in preparation for the next version. (I can imagine it'd annoy a lot of people)

I'm just about to upload the Rhythmbox screenshot (and file a bug against a missing package), by the way, so English is now done. Thank you very much. :)
