Bug Description

Binary package hint: indicator-session

Steps to reproduce:

1. Login into a user 'first'.
2. Select Indicator session icon -> 'second' user.
3. GDM asks you the 'second' account password.
4. Type the password to log into 'second' account.
5. Select Indicator session icon -> Logout.
6. Confirm in the confirmation dialog.
7. Screen goes black and computer hangs (or it seems to be hang).

The bug is fully reproducible regardless what specific screensaver is active.

Looking into /var/log/messages, I can see the following kernel messages just exactly when the computer hangs:

Problem fixed using nvidia driver version 195, so the problem could be only reproduced using nvidia driver version 173.

Ricardo, Any reason you filed the bug in indicator-session? Indicator-session is just an applet which offers the session options.

The hang seems Nvidia graphics driver related as you mention.
