keyboard layout error

I included four keyboard layouts on my Lucid - English US, Nepali, Pakistan CRULP, and Indian Bengali Probhat. The next time I logged in I got an error message as shown below:

I did accordingly.

The result of xprop -root | grep XKB:

Upon checking, I found that the problem seemed to be in the particular variant of the Bengali keyboard layout - Indian Bengali Probhat.

Same problem, but my keyboard layouts are USA, "Czechia qwerty, extended Backslash" and "Iran Persian, with Persian Keypad"; it appears that it's the Iranian layout that's the problem; removing it from the list fixes the problem immediately. The plain Iranian layout has the same problem.

The error message also comes up when one makes changes in the Layouts tab of Keyboard Preferences (eg moving the affected layout up or down in the list).

I'm not able to switch between layouts after the error message.
