Bug Description
My desktop computer dual opteron system using the k8we tyan motherboard, and boots off the Adaptec ASC-39320A U320 scsi card. It has a scsi system disk, and two raid 0 scsi drives using lvm, for /home.
In breezy this works well.
In a check before upgrading to dapper I used the amd64 desktop cd to check compatability. The scsi kernel modules are not loaded. Even after I hand loaded (using modprobe) the appropriat scsi modules for the kernel, still the system cann't see any of the scsi drives, or the scsi card.
I tried the server cdrom thinking servers would use this setup, but it froze in the particioner, looking for the drives.
I can't find any reference to similar bugs here. Or elsewhere.
Thank you for your bug report. Do you still have this issue with the latest stable release of Ubuntu ?
