Bug Description

The udev Trigger-Script for libchipcard throws warnings in syslog:

udevd[450]: SYSFS{}= will be removed in a future udev version, please use ATTR{}= to match the event device, or ATTRS{}= to match a parent device, in /lib/udev/rules.d/40-libchipcard-tools.rules:50

This is for now just a cosmetiv issue in libchipcard-tools 4.2.8-1ubuntu1 on lucid, but may break in future.

Description: Ubuntu lucid (development branch)

This is fixed already in the Debian package version 4.2.9-2. Someone should prepare a sync with Debian I guess...

So, it suffices to edit /lib/udev/rules.d/40-libchipcard-tools.rules and replace SYSFS{idVendor} by ATTR{idVendor} and SYSFS{idProduct} by ATTR{idProduct}? Or is there more to it than those two text replacements?

Editing /lib/udev/rules.d/40-libchipcard-tools.rules is sufficient to fix the problem on an affected system.

With libchipcard 5.0.0-1 now in Ubuntu natty, I marked this bug as "Fix released".
