Bug Description

I'm using Byobu on Fedora 12. This happens with both Tilda and Gnome's default Terminal:

Basicly, the first two are always fine, but from the third they are all mangled together with the third's color. It doesn't matter what notifications I use.

Hi, thanks for the report.

This is a problem with the version of Screen that Fedora 12 ships. This version of screen is limited to changing the colors on that line a total of 16 times. Once you hit that limit, the rest of the line is colored in the same way as the last change.

See:
 * Bug #315871
 * http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?22146

Upstream Screen has fixed this recently, or the patch to change is a very simple 1-line change to a #define constant.

Otherwise, if you're running a recent version of Byobu, you can turn off all color by adding MONOCHROME=1 to ~/.byobu/color.

Changed in byobu:
status: New → Invalid
