Bug Description

Binary package hint: banshee

1) Banshee is asked to sync songs from a playlist.
2) Press Sync to copy the files to the iPod

What Happens:
syncs those songs and places them in other playlists which have that song as well (since the songs are part of those playlists as well).

Expected: Banshee should just sync the selected playlist.

I noticed you have tested this bug with version 1.5.6, which is outdated. Could you test with the latest Lucid version (1.6.1) or the Maverick version (1.7.3)?

I have tested sync with Banshee on Ubuntu 10.10 (Maverick) and although I am pleased that all my music syncs to my iPod, I am not so pleased that it does not separate the songs into playlists. As well, in this version there is no way of specifying multiple playlists to sync; this is a problem.

So we have gone from syncing all playlists to syncing no playlists; in my opinion this is still a bug.

komputes, please could you run in a terminal "banshee --debug" and attach all the output information (following your steps to reproduce this issue) to your report? Additionally, if you can add the model and firmware of your Ipod would be appreciate it. Thanks in advance
