Bug Description

Binary package hint: xorg

Hi I have an ATI Radeon 2600 HD.

I am finding when ever I am using overlay with the ATI card that I can getting drastic system slowdowns. This can be seen using top on my system.

A good example of this slowdown can be seen using gtk-recordmydesktop. The preview panel that appears in that app will slow the system down and xorg gets over active at that point and then you will not realy be able to make a recording as the cpu is maxed out.
