Bug Description
Binary package hint: plymouth
Hy!
I've removed the splash option from my kernel's command line, and expected that plymouth should be loaded and falling back to it's details plugin (what I can't select explictly since the last upgrade), but when I boot up, I can't see anything on the screen (except a kernel message about my unknown mmc controller version, and fsck but making them quiet is another bug)

Do you see any console output after upgrading to upstart 0.6.5-6? If so, this would be bug #548954.
