new version of t38modem is available with opal and unix98 pty support + lot of bug fix
current package is really ancient

I'd like to support Alessandro's bug report.
The currently avail. 0.84 version just doesn't work as the kernel support isn't activated nor is the Unix98-PTY-option activated in t38modem.

Please upload new version packaged in debian(unstable) on 2010-06-04 - 1.2.0 has been packaged, and builds under libopal >= 3.6.1. Further init script help may be packaged, as well as documentation... But it does build, and works reliably under my test conditions.

Fixed in maverick by upload of 1.2.0-1 from debian upstream. Would advocate merging with *-backports...
