Bug Description

I am using a MacBook Air - running Lucid with all the latest and greatest updates installed before I filed this. - The sound has not worked on the MacBook Air with Lucid since I did a clean install during Alpha 3.

I believe it is a dup of Bug #542550. However it was suggested by David Henningsson that I should file a separate bug report with the proper information - so here's the separate bug report. :-) I'll mark it as a dup of #542550 and if it's really not sorry and could you all list it however it needs to be? Please and Thank you!

I am running 10.4LTS on a macbook air 2,1 and have no sound through the speaker and the microphone doesn't work. Sound does output through the line out jack.

I'm also new to launchpad. Should this be raised as a new bug or information added to this one?

If information is needed, what do I need to post?

Thanks, Craig

I have exactly the same problem, with the same soundcard, on a Mac Pro Desktop.

I think once I heard some faint sounds over my Headphone connected to the front 3.5mm socket, but that was all.

Didnt file a seperate bug, as it seems a Mac-related problem and I have the same soundcard.

Regards,

Kai

I remember I had a similar problem with my Lenovo R60 when I installed Lucid the first time. I think a command such as "reconfigure alsa" or so solved it, but i cant remember the command.
