Openshot closes

When I try to do something in the Openshot closes, if I run from the console says:

And icons for new project, save project ... not displayed until you pass the mouse over

I have Ubuntu 9.10 64 bit

I have installed x264 which didn't have. But openshot continues to close.

If all is okay, You must check in Preferences>section Formats/codecs installed and here you will see if x264 is not only installed (like with synaptic) but seeing and using too by MLT and so by consequence by Openshot.

I have Openshot 1.1.3 (on Ubuntu Lucid) and got the same error during a (preview) playback so not sure it is necessarily fixed?
