Bug Description

After changing the background image from the standard image in Ubuntu netbook remix 9.10 at random but with high frequencies the proper theme settings fails to load. The panel loads with default gtk-theme design and sound-options are turned on. If checking sound configuration however, it claims to be set to off. If Appearance is run the correct setting are loaded back without making any changes in the dialog.

The same error has been duplicated on an ordinary Ubuntu 9.10 desktop install when switching to twin view. Also there at random.

Solution: By scaling the background image so that it matches the screen resolution then issue seems to be solved.

Hello
Is this problem present with the latest updated Lucid's or Maverick's packages?
Thanks in advance
Fabio

On Maverik Netbook Edition this seems to not be a problem any more. The issue still remains on standard Ubuntu (Lucid) when switching to Twin View in Nvidea driver dialog (though with less frequency)
