lablgladecc2 fails on a text entry

On a simple example (attached) containing only a text entry into a top level window, lablgladecc2 fails:
    pascal@gcs-lucid-beta:~/tmp$ lablgladecc2 single_entry.glade
    (* Automatically generated from single_entry.glade by lablgladecc *)

    Fatal error: exception Invalid_argument("Char.chr")

It looks related to the code used for the "invisible_char" property:
        <property name="invisible_char">&#x25CF;</property>
It properly works if this line is removed
