Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager

[What you expected to happen]
The power indicator in the notification area that shows if the netbook's battery level should always show with the current setting

[What happened instead]
The icon that indicates battery level would appear for a few moments and then disappear.
This happens with and without the netbook being plugged in for charging.

I find the icon appears and disappears at random intervals.

I have selected Always display an icon in the Power Management Preferences.
