Bug Description

Binary package hint: network-manager

Ubuntu 10.04 LTS - Beta-1
Network-manager Installed: 0.8-0ubuntu2
On every startup/login, network manager starts with networking disabled. When i manually check "enable networking" all works as it did before upgrading to Beta-1.

I can confirm this annoying behaviour. Using an Acer AspireOne A110L with UNR Lucid Beta 1, fully upgraded.
Every time I boot up, I have to check "enable wireless", and sometimes first "enable networking" followed by "enable wireless". The expected behaviour is to have everything enabled when I log in.

Also: After suspend/resume, the wireless is disabled again, requiring the same procedure.
It's not a big deal, but quite annoying.

One more thing I forgot: This was also happening in Karmic, but there I only had to click "enable wireless", not "enable networking".

Also happening to me in Beta 1 with an ASUS A52J, though just networking is disabled at login. Networking drivers used are ath9k (wireless, the one I use) and jme (wired, not tested).

Same here, Acer aoa150 running 10.04 beta. <Enable networking> seems to fix it every time.

I had that problem, but a recent kernel update killed *all* wifi! Doesn't even see the card.
(AOA150, 2.6.32-22-generic)

If I boot with 2.6.32-21-generic, wifi works.
