Bug Description
Binary package hint: nautilus
I'm not sure if this bug report should be filed under nautilus.
Yesterday, I upgraded my system three times. After the third upgrade I noticed that some files and folders from my 'Desktop' where missing. However, I'm not sure if the files where lost after the 2nd or 3rd upgrade.
After I noticed that the files where lost I tried to search if there where in the trash, however, there weren't any. I also try to see if I could access them through the command line or if there where hidden, or even if it was because maybe they were there but they weren't being showed. However, none of those things were successful.
After realizing that i was not going to recover my files, I decided to create a folder that had the name as the previously lost folder (i.e.FIU) to see what happened, but nothing. Anyways, I decided to just restore a backup copy so I erased the newly created 'FIU' folder and I noticed something strange again.
I went to the Trash to be able to delete the files but it took too much time to show the files in there, so I used the command line. When I did so, I noticed that every time that I tried to open the trash folder through the desktop, folders like FIU.2 FIU.2.2.2 FIU.2.3 appeared in the trash (looking it from the command line). So I just erased everything via the command line and restarted my PC. Once I restarted trash was empty without any weird behavior again.
For now, this is all I can give you since I already upgraded my system two times more (today) after seen the strange behavior. If you need further information please let me know, as well as hwo to gather it.
Thank you.
