Bug Description
Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.15
I'm plauged by some kind of kernel panic when ripping audio cds in Dapper.
The ripping is done with rhythmbox.
The system log reports io timeouts a few times before the hang, however I haven't seen any errormessage from the hang/panic itself.
The computer becomes completely unresponsive.
The cdrom says this: (hdparm.conf has not been modified)
sudo hdparm /dev/hda
/dev/hda:
IO_support = 1 (32-bit)
unmaskirq = 1 (on)
using_dma = 1 (on)
keepsettings = 0 (off)
readonly = 0 (off)
readahead = 256 (on)
HDIO_GETGEO failed: Invalid argument
sudo hdparm -I /dev/hda
/dev/hda:
