Bug Description

Binary package hint: gvfs

The crash happened while I was plugging in my iPod Touch with Rhythmbox opened. The iPod does appear in Rhythmbox after restarting the program, but its details aren't fully recognized (e.g. name) and the music from it doesn't appear in the view.

I just received this crash error after connecting my iPod Touch as well. The "iPod" camera icon appeared on my desktop so it mounted partially, but I was unable to use Rhythmbox to connect to it.

Experienced a similar crash when plugging in my iPod Touch. I was concurrently running a VMWare Player session that hosted a WindowsXP image. This VMWare image is configured to 'grab' the USB connection for the iPod and do the iTunes dance. While this was happening (and succeeding) - I got a crash box up in Linux with the suggestion to file a bug.

I'm affected by this, but not seriously as my VMWare session was just fine. Hopefully my input helps narrow down the problem a little.
