Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-settings-daemon

Upgraded from Karmic (9.10) today.

Used update-manager -d. Update process itself went seemingly well, however after rebooting, the graphical login fails to show a user selection dialogue. All that is shown is the wallpaper (plus the login screen sound plays). Switching to TTY to login via CLI is possible. invoking 'startx' shows that X is already running.

Sorry I'm firing blind here, as I have no clue what package handles the user login.
