Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-session

After updating Lucid today, upon restart I only got the desktop image and the mouse cursor.

The gnome panel and desktop items never appear. My browser and e-mail keys launch Firefox and Thunderbird just fine. I can adjust the volume with the volume keys and I get the on-screen indicator, and compiz is working. But no visible gnome interface starts.
