Gears 0.5.32.0~svn3391+dfsg-0ubuntu2 in Lucid is currently not working. This is referenced by the following bugs

Hi Micah,

I didnt get thru updating this bug report before I have to leave, I am the original uploader of gears and have patched and got it working with FF36 and Xul 9.2.

So i have essentially done the work, was just opening the bug for the FFe. If you haven't done it yet, I will carry on...

Ok, no problem. Sorry for jumping the gun, but I was working on porting for xulrunner-1.9.2, so this will actually save me time. Please go ahead. I still have another 20 something apps to work on :)

From the VCS commit messages the only new additions i can see are

3403- Introduce rotateCW, rotate180, and rotateCCW methods on the Gears
Canvas.
3404- Introduce flip{Horizontal,Vertical} methods on the Gears Canvas.
3405 - Add Exif/Orientation to the JPEG metadata extraction.

The rest of the changes are bug fixes or not relevant, since we delete the files and use our source.
