Bug Description

Binary package hint: nautilus

I was trying to access sftp://192.168.1.12/ Here 192.168.1.12 is another network pc. It asks for username/password which I provided and clicked on "Remember Forever" option so next time when I login it just don't ask me the same. But even at next time when I access the network folder it asks for username/password.
Other option to forget password immediately and remember till logout works as per expectation.

It also fails to remember the password if you select 'remember until logout'. I assume this is not related to the gnome-keyring (because it doesn't ask you for a password to unlock the keyring if you have locked in automatically) so might this be a separate bug?

I am having the same problem in Ubuntu 12.04. Everytime I try to access my NAS after reboot I have to enter username and password. Why?

Thank you for your bug report. Is that still an issue? Did you connect to a server with a different username than your local one? It could have been https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=736311 then which has been fixed resolved since

The upstream bug report 685290 was closed as "RESOLVED OBSOLETE" on 2021-06-18. There were no comments on that report since 2014.

This Launchpad report has sat incomplete for over two years now without any response to comment #5 so I'm going to close it as being "Invalid" although the reported problem may have actually been fixed.

Please feel free to re-open this bug report if there is still a problem when using a currently supported release of Ubuntu.
